Finally we will be getting our April Luxe Boxes shipped out next week, I can hardly wait. I really thought there would be hope in receiving it this week but I guess not! This month is cancer awareness month, and Loose Button has came up with this idea to donate products (you have the choice to donate a product or your entire box for individuals in need)..I think that's pretty neat!

Most exciting part is that First in line is back yet again..RESERVATION OPENS THURSDAY (April 19th, 2012) @ 12 EST.. The last time they had a set time, I didn't check my email on time so when I saw it I had already missed out on my first dib..opps! This time I am gonna try to get my first choice.

Any thoughts on what Loose Button will feature this month?

If You love Pretty Liars or Lying Game you will Love This?!!

I have recently discovered a new favorite show that one of my friend got me hooked to..RINGER! The reason why I was so drawn to this show was because it reminded me of another t.v show I love but that is currently on a break (Lying Game-from the producers of Pretty Little Liars)

Tonight is the season finale, and I am so excited but it sucks that I can't watch till Friday (finally free!). The show is about two twins played by Sarah Michelle Geller. Bridget is an addict, and her sister Siobhan is the like the "good sister" helping Bridget when she gets in trouble. 

Basically after a long time, Siobhan  wants to see Bridget so she invites her to stay with her for as long as she wants. One day while out boating Bridget wakes up to find out that Siobhan is gone! (She believes her sister commuted suicide) What Bridget doesn't know is that her sister is not dead, in fact she is alive. Bridget has run away from testifying against a killer and assumes her sisters identity and from here on out its a crazy whirl wind!!

So many things happen, and each episode just gets better and better.. it's like Lying game (same twin concept except in Lying game the twins know each other, one twin takes over (Emma) in the hopes that the other (Sutton) can find their biological birth mother..) I watch both and love them but I would say Ringer's is targeted towards an older audience. Watch the promo below for both shows!

More Polishes!

When I created the last post (Zoya Nail Polish Collections) my intention was to display a couple more nail polish collections, I had to cut the last post short but I thought I would continue while I took a quick break!

I won't go into too much detail but I wanted to display the endless possibilities of beautiful new nail polish colors..

So this is one of OPI's latest collection called "Holland"..this collection is truly filled with a wide array of colors. Its a different and unique color scheme..There is a combination of both dark (cool tones) and light  (warm tones)

 (I am not sure how new these are but they are new to me haha and I am lovvinggg them!)

The most beautiful  pink shades.. 2 of them are a very soft baby pink ( first two: Barre my Soul & You Callin' me a Lyre?) While the others have more of a whitish base to them ( one of which is a more sheer lavender: Care to Danse? The third polish is Don't touch my Tutu and the lovely pastel grey is called My Pointe exactly. The collection isn't complete without a silver glitsy top coat (Pirouette my Whistle)

If you are a fan of Glitter polishes then the China Glaze Prismatic Chrome collection is for you! The nail polishes have the most unique glitter. They have got hints of so many colors, and that's what makes it soooo beautiful and unique:)

Zoya Polish Collections!:)

I am back for a quick blog all about nail polishes, I have noticed that the spring and summer collections are all about shades that really pop. Spring collections are filled with soft, pastel like shimmers all the while, summer collections are  bright, beautiful and very rich in color: I am definitely enjoying  all these nail trends..to bad for me I bit all my nails!:(

Zoya (Spring) - True Collection

These colors, are light and elegant perfect for the warm weather (thank goodness today is a nice day) There are two variations of a light nude color with beige tones, followed by warm and creme like green, blues, and purples. I was looking on the Zoya website, and they have a video of the new collection, with some inspiration pictures, and it was there when close up shots were shown that I was able to see the shimmer included in the polishes. This collection comes with 6 delightful colors, which are all very warm toned. (Left to right: Cho, Farah, Bevin, Skylar, Tru, and Lous)

Hands down this is my favorite collection the colors are all so vivid and remind me of summer. Compared to the True collection I believe these are more matte colors...still have shine, but no shimmer. I personally really like this, because glitter and shimmer is not always my favorite. The names of the polishes are all so nice! Similarly to the spring collection, the Beach and Summer polishes come in 6 shades, from pinks ( 3 beautiful variations) to lime green, and baby blue.. these are much more cool toned colors. (Left to right: Reagan, Lara, Shelby, Arizona, Tracie, and Wednesday)

I just noticed that Zoya has two summer collections..I was thinking this was the Beach and Surf collection..but nope the above are only the Beach polishes. So below is the surf collection...

NYX Goodies

Hello!

On the way home from the library (where I was attempting to study) I stopped off at Pharmasave just for heck of it. I didn't have anything I needed to buy I just kinda wanted to go. I always see the flyer in the paper but never have visited the store once except for today. The funny thing is, it's literally like 5 minutes away from my house, but I always go to the other plaza which is just as close..I wasn't even sure if I was in the right plaza?! Imagine my excitement when I was greeted with rows and rows of NYX products..I know to some this may not be so exciting...but it was my first time ever seeing any of the products in a store. The only NYX I have is was a jumbo lip pencil I received in my Luxe Box. I just kinda starred at everything and then picked up some stuff. I am really happy with everything, but I think I may have gotten too dark of a concealer:( I use MAC's studio fix concealer but I wanted to try something new that wasn't  too expensive, I may end up switching it if I can or just give it to my sister. Here are the three things I picked up:

1) NYX Trio Eyeshadow palette (Very Delight)

2) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil ( Milk)

3) NYX As if Concealer stick (Tan) 

I have heard a lot about the milk jumbo pencil on Youtube, so I decided to give it a go. It was so inexpensive I couldn't pass it up. I heard it can be applied as a base, as well as in the water line to enhance and make your eyes seem bigger. I am so excited to try this out:)

Next concealer..

They had a couple different types of concealer ( stick, tube etc..) I got the stick one in tan, but now I am realizing it is tooo dark!:( I hate when that happens..Whenever there are no samples I always act on impulse.

Anyways I tried it out, and it glides on really nicely..pretty good coverage too, just sucks that it makes me look do orange..whoops:)

Lastly..

I lovvveee this palette soo much! Perfect for everyday wear, and if you want to make it more dramatic you can easily draw in a darker browns/ blacks. It has 3 of the most gorgeous colors in it, a dusty pink, a corally pink/ orange, and a light brown. 

p.s) pigmentation is awesome, you can easily build up the color to amplify it

I cannot wait to pick up some more stuff, next time I want to get some lip sticks, glosses, and maybe more shadows !

16 days Of Misery...

We all know this is the season where most post secondary institutions typically finish lectures and start holding final examinations. Ughhhhh I hate hate hate exams..who doesn't?!

I have this week off and then misery really kicks in on the 11th- to the 19th.. I have 5 exams, 2 Sociology, 1 English, and 2 Psychology. Psych and Soc is a lot of memorization..

Yesterday I was supposed to start my studies but that didn't really happen.. ( look who's got off to a good start) so today hopefully  I go at it..first on the list Social Inequality

To  all my friends, fellow bloggers and anyone else going through a difficult time with school, exams, or life in general... Pick yourself back up,  you can do it! Although we might hate a certain point of time within our life, with will power and determination we can ALL overcome these stressful times, I sincerely wish you all the best<3

Quick Book Review!

The Nine Lives of Chloe King:

I have had this book since December and I just finished it now! Typically speaking I can finish a book within one day!! This book however I had to start and stop soo much because of all my university commitments. Last summer I started to watch the series and really enjoyed it, it was something different but good. It had the components of a girly novel, but then it  also had mysterious twists to it which I really enjoyed...So finally tonight I finished the book. The show stopped after the first season because there weren`t enough viewers, so when the finale was aired I was kinda sad because I didn`t know the fate of the characters. This book had in fact all 3 novels combined into one:)

The three novels are:
1) The Fallen
2)The Stolen
3)The Chosen

It sounds silly but it is the type of book that you have to read to understand, basically the jist of the novel is focused around this girl named Chloe, she finds out that she is a part of this certain existence. A lot of the book faces with the life style Chloe is is pressured into because of this new revelation. Along the way she learns a lot about her history, and her people. A book can`t be completed without the bad guys either haha! In this book it was this battle between the Mai ( Chloe`s clan) and the opposing forces ( The order)...weird I know but I did like it. I liked the first and second book better than the third..the ending was kind of abrupt:(
