Brush Cleaning 101

Hello my lovely friends,

Today I finally found myself cleaning my brushes! I have kind of been lacking on it but decided it was time to do it today, since it's been some time since I last thoroughly cleaned them. Brush cleaning is super important because it helps to eliminate, clean, and disinfect any unwanted build up in your brushes..you'd be surprised at the amount of gunk that comes out! So here is a super quick demo of how I usually cleanse my brushes...

1) Gather all dirty Brushes
2) Grab your brush cleaner or shampoo
3) Either spray/ apply cleanser (shampoo) directly to the brush or put some in the palm of your hand..begin to swirl the brush  around and you will see excess dirt come out!!
4) Repeat the process with all your brushes, and leave them to dry!
Here all my clean brushes..
(Face)
~ the contour wasn't a part of the set..I bought it separately ~
(Eyes)
The last thing I gave a quick clean was my Sponge that I use for foundation
(I usually use my fingers & the sponge more than the brush)
There are so many cleansers out there, I personally don't think you need anything fancy. When this bottle finishes I will probably just stick to
 a shampoo of some sort.

Hope your all enjoying your day,

  3. I use the Quo brush cleaner but it is more of a shampoo. Would love to grab a spray for easier cleaning.

  8. NEW FOLLOWER! I use sephora brushes and mostly my fingers :) but to clean my brushes, i let them soak in a mixture of rubbing alcohol and brush cleaner overnight, and then in the morning, i do a quick rinse and dip them in alcohol to fully sanitize them :D

  9. This is very helpful for a non-makeup expert like me. I use makeup for special occasions only. :)
