I’m saddened to say that my beloved M.A.C foundation is almost finished. I've enjoyed my experience using M.A.C's Studio Fix Fluid and have incorporated it into my daily beauty routine for a while now however, my wallet is looking for a more budget friendly foundation! I'm turning to you my blogging friends for help and suggestions. I find it hard to match colors to my skin tone and somehow always manage to pick up shades either too dark or too pink. While I love M.A.C I need to find an alternative that's just as good. I know the drugstore has a great selection when it comes to foundations, it's all about finding the right one that meets your needs. In fact before my encounter with M.A.C cosmetics all I used was drug-store..I was thinking of stopping by Shoppers Drug-Mart soon with my foundation bottle (NC30) in hopes of finding a match. I was thinking Loreal's True Match may be a good place to start because of the vast color range. I've also heard Revlon foundations (Photoready) are great as well.
What I'm looking for....
-A good foundation first and for most!
- Preferably a matte finish as I have somewhat oily skin
- Something full coverage however medium will do as well ( I can always build up)
Know of anything? Let me know in the comments :)
Take care lovelies, hope you all have a WONDERFUL DAYY!
Loreal True Match was my first ever foundation! It is amazing for the colour range. It also looks amazing on the skin and blends like a dream! It also photogrpahed really nicely. I did find that it wasn't incredibly long wearing, which was the only down side. Keep in mind that I wore this foundation around 8 years ago (yikes!) and the formula might have been improved...
ReplyDeleteThe new revlon colourstay whipped cream foundation looks so nice, but I havent seen it in Canada yet!
Thank you so much! Super helpful..in highschool I used to use the concealer and that worked well so I'm excited to try the foundation out. I just need to find my perfect shade!!
DeleteI've seen the new whipped foundation at Wal-Mart!! They only had a tester for one shade though so I could swatch them:(
whoops I meant I couldn't swatch lol!
Deletei would totally recommend the revlon whipped! It's seriously amazing! I have oily skin as well and I find it lasts all day on my skin without getting oily! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's one thing I definitely have to look into! Thanks Tawny:)
DeleteI personally really love estee lauder foundation, but it's really pricy :S
ReplyDeleteSome cheaper brands (which you're looking for)that I like are the Body Shop Mineral foundations and from the drugstore, Annabelle (I think that's how it's spelled....) Hope that helps/that you find something!! xo
Hey Z! Thanks for the suggestions, I always seem to walk right past the Annabelle section, I'll stop and look now:D
DeleteI'm a huge fan of true match. I did a full rave review on it too. Hands my top foundation for drugstore...I'm a NC30 too and W4 is a great match!
ReplyDeleteOooh Thanks for letting me know1 I actually did the matching thing online and was surprised that it gave you an exact shade, yipee!:) I was also looking at Maybelline Super stay Foundations.
DeleteI really like Revlon ColorStay! It's a great drugstore foundation in my opinion! :) Also, I wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Liebster Award, if you want to take part you should check out my blog post on it! :))
